Child-Resistant Packaging Information

CEPACOL® Mouthwash is subject to special packaging regulations promulgated by the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC). The CEPACOL® Mouthwash product is available in 24 and 32 ounce bottles and CPSC regulations require that both product sizes utilize child-resistant packaging. As a result, the product is sold in a closure/bottle system that (i) is significantly difficult for children under five to open or obtain its contents within a reasonable time, and (ii) is not overly difficult for normal adults to use properly.

We are committed to the protection of children, and we fully support the efforts of CPSC in its regulatory and leadership capacity. As part of our commitment, Certificates of Compliance are set forth below in accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA).

LOT CODING EXPLANATION

CEPACOL® Mouthwash products contain a lot code stamp indicating the manufacturing plant, year of manufacture, the month of manufacture (filling/assembly), and batching sequence of an item within the month.

Manufacturing Plant:

The first character of the lot number is the letter "R", which designates Rantoul, Illinois as a manufacturing location.

Year of Manufacture:

The second and third characters of the lot number are the last two digits of the calendar year of the filling operation, e.g., "00" for packages filled in 2000, "06" for 2006, etc.

Month of Manufacture:

The fourth character is a letter designating the month of the year as follows:

A-January G-July
B-February H-August
C-March J-September
D-April K-October
E-May L-November
F-June M-December

The letter "I" is not used to avoid any possibility of confusion with the number one (1).

Batching Sequence:

The last 3 digits are the sequential number of the packaging code. This sequence starts at 001 at the beginning of each month.
